These grand figures are supported by clouds of symbolic space fillers that go to the heart of these ancient traditions. Divided eye motifs, protective S-hooks and decorative berekets complement the collection of symbolic ornaments that fill each grand medallion. This classically appointed field is surrounded by protective crenellated fence guard bands and spectacular leaf-and-winecup main borders, which create a graphic zigzag pattern that emphasizes the strong, clear colors of the Caucasus.
