Beautiful Antique Shabby Chic Tribal Turkish Ghiordes Rug, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa Date: 1900 – True to many other tribal antique Turkish Ghiordes rugs, this beautiful antique Turkish rug features elegance and style by establishing an attractive amount of negative space, broken up here and there by the presence of vines and floral patterns. The greenery moves in angular patterns, creating a rigid flow that is almost comfortable in the way it grounds the other motifs throughout the piece. A gentle beige color establishes the background, allowing the lines of motion to lead the viewer through the foreground. Thin lines of rich green, vibrant yellow and deep red weave around each other, and each bend features a number of petals and blossoms, surrounding a primary bloom at the center of the antique rug.
