Breathtakingly Decorative and tribal Antique Light Blue East Turkestan Khotan Rug , Country of Origin / Rug Type: East Turkestan, Circa Date: 1900 – This antique East Turkestan Khotan rug is timeless, in both its beautiful coloration as well as its wonderfully primitive design patterns. This magnificent combination make this antique Oriental rug an ideal addition for any household and room’s interior design.

This antique rug features four sections, each with similar but unique and tribal designs. The thin, outer most guard border is quite plain in feel. It only houses small circles, ghostly hints of designs and blocks of color. This is followed by a main border which hosts beautiful and delicate flowers that wind round and round again, guarding the large intricate blooms in their grasps.

The inner border that lines the blue field of this light blue East Turkestan Khotan rug is fascinating in its composition. It actually breaks down the main border design into its most basic and primitive forms. This fact combined with is much lighter background color, help to create an echo like effect between the two borders.

This magnificently decorative rug features a soothing blue color field. This blue field showcases a beautifully abrashed striated color variation that give it a uniquely organic and free flowing feel. This feel is reminiscent of ripples across the oceans surface on a quiet day or even a beautifully blue summer sky with a few passing white clouds.

The eighty four large, detailed flowers in the field are laid out, glaring against the light blue background. They are sectioned into precise lines, and connected by thin flowers on vines scrolls that recall back to the designs of the outer perimeters.

This inner field section of this beautiful light blue East Turkestan Khotan rug, not only draws in the aspects of the other sections in terms of visual design, but in color as well. This leaves us with a feeling of completion, as all sections are delicately tied together in subtle yet artistic ways.
