This antique masterpiece area rug uses a rich porcelain white tone to act as the ideal backdrop to cobalt blue, Stygian black and gentle beige elements. The outermost frame features a collection of curling stems and flowers, set slightly apart from each other to break up the space to convey more. This border surrounds a second one, which houses several rigid lines and bars, as if designed to be a part of a royal structure. The core of this antique rug contains a collection of shapes, natural and man-made. Ferns, lamps, vases and vines occupy symmetrical sections of the space, with each shape set against the same beautiful background of porcelain white, as if floating on a cloud.
