Antique Gabbeh Persian Carpet from Southwest Persia, early twentieth century - The upper field on this charming tribal Persian Gabbeh has animals and abstract symbols floating across abrashed shades of neutral tan reminiscent of desert sands. The abstract symbols also make the outer border on a soft saffron ground, while an inner checkered border boldly demarcates the field.
