Simple hexagonal medallions arranged end to end in series occupy the abrashed tan field of this boldly graphic antique tribal Persian Gabbeh. The remaining space is strewn with an array of little stars, rosettes, trees, diamonds, and stylized animals for which such antique Gabbehs are prized. A thin green edge stripe provides the hint of a border, allow the field design to take pride of place.
