Antique Bakshaish Long Rug, late nineteenth century An allover pattern of stylized flower heads or miniature palmettes repeats in staggered array across the deep camel field of this charming little antique Bakshaish. A classic Northwest Persian vinescroll border enclosed the field, with an external camel open edge reminiscent of Serabs. A lovely decorative piece drawn from all the best Northwest Persian traditions.
