Vintage Judaica Moroccan Rug, Country of Origin: Morocco, Circa Date: Mid-Twentieth Century – Here is a beautiful and intriguing vintage a carpet – a vintage Moroccan rug, woven during the middle decades of the twentieth century. Widely admired and sought after by collectors and designers for their unique and exciting compositions. This particular carpet is an exciting example, bearing a distinct Star of David in the lower right hand portion of the field. The presence of this symbol naturally makes this carpet an example of Judaica art, and an especially striking example at that. The carpet itself is characterized by its simple structure, which consists simply of a minimally adorned field of deep red and burgundy, and a small border of green that runs around the perimeter of the piece, bounded on the outside by a narrow band of deep red. A unique and culturally significant composition, this Judaica Moroccan rug is an exciting minimalist composition, its Star of David a compelling detail.
