Square Size Antique Decorative Turkish Oushak Rug, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa date: 1900 – This square, honey-toned antique Turkish rug features a central design of crossed parallelograms, each with an eight-petaled flower like a simplified daisy in the middle. These are framed by triangular accents within a rectangular border and colored randomly in light blues and oranges. Every small square of the decorative Oushak rug stitched in this manner is set off by X-shaped markings, giving the impression of a quilt sewn together, overall a golden hue with rosy accents. A bar filled with a floral vine, depicted with an angular stem and leaves, edges the center. Interlocking geometric forms like abstract red and orange flames, emphasized by blue shapes, creates a slightly darker accent, bordered ultimately by small, dark fern-like forms over the pale yellow background in this beautifully casual and relaxed antique rug.
