Two main scalloped medallions sit along the vertical central axis with smaller ogival medallions to either side, and pointed quatrefoil medallions disposed horizontally across the center. A welter of vines and tiny flowers fills the reminder of the soft blue ground between the medallions. A running vine scroll border laden with palmettes and lotus flowers surrounds the field, with minor vine scroll borders added for framing distinction. The uniform soft, pastel color scheme applied across the entire composition makes for a supremely restrained decorative effect despite the complexity of the design.
