Beautiful Flat Woven Mid Century Vintage Swedish Kilim Rug, Country of Origin / Rug type: Scandinavian Rugs, Circa Date: Middle Part Of The 20th Century – This charming vintage mid-century Swedish Kilim rug cuts a striking portrait by using stormy colors and hazy images to establish an almost serene arrangement of shapes and patterns. The seemingly contradictory composition of this vintage Scandinavian rug is achieved through a minimalist border and an attractive degree of negative space. The single dark gray border gives way to a lighter gray background. Upon closer inspection, viewers can see the barest traces of an olive line standing out against the upper and lower sections of the border before leading up towards the middle of the vintage rug. At the mid century rug’s center are several horizontal bars, stacked upon each other but spaced evenly through the use of dark stone gray blocks, which are surrounded by creamy eggshell white spheres.
