A highly contrasting light pattern works over the darkness, accented with touches of red, yellow and light blue. The symmetrical design contains floral elements woven through and around posed animals, such as birds with wings spread wide or large felines stalking. A pair of two narrow, light blue bands edges a third, wider border, creating a light-toned set that counterbalances the rich, nighttime hue inside. The thin borders carry a leafy pattern around the antique rug, studded with red flowers at even intervals, accenting the broad yellow bar full of ornate blossoms.
