The abstract nature of the flat woven kilim rug is meant to convey an emotion more than a concrete image, and the vibrant use of orange elements establishes feelings of warmth and comfort. Several dark lines mark the center of the landscape as well, their forms arranged in diagonal and horizontal configurations to create a network of motion that ultimately leads the viewer’s attention downward from the top of the vintage rug, establishing candid landmarks along the way.
