Beautiful Vintage Diamond Design Tribal Persian Shabby Chic Gabbeh Rug, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Persian Rug, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – Through the use of bright colors, the artist of this Persian Gabbeh rug is able to convey a whimsical scene, one that is ultimately powerfully grounded within the attractive grounding shapes within. A single thick border surrounds the edges of the Persian rug, itself framed by two thinner borders that contrast the motifs within in terms of both color and motion. The largest border of this Persian shabby chic rug contains a beautiful series of diamond shapes, connected to each other from end to end and showcasing gorgeously vibrant colors, ranging from blue to white and red to yellow. The thinner border surrounding the rigid shapes contain flowing petals within, angular in presentation but finely arranged to convey a more flowing sense of movement. The core of the vintage rug contains the largest diamond, its sides cut off by the borders and its interior defined by a series of smaller diamonds, resulting in a beautiful mosaic configuration.
