Forming a pattern of ornate diamond shapes in alternating rows on this Alpujarra, the bright red stands out against the desaturated hues like poppies in a field on a cloudy day. These jagged or four-lobed diamond forms are studded with hints of blue and yellow, then flanked by diminutive red dots. The central pattern is ringed by a series of identical eight-petaled flowers that resemble poinsettias. Thick red lines edge the next band, which contains a staggered set of rounder flowers.
