Shabby Chic Antique Persian Tabriz Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century– Tabriz, a city in northwest Iran, or Persia, is known for weavers who produce exquisite rugs that are woven observing ancient and classical traditions. They are not, however, noted for any particular motif or color. The rich oranges and blues in this rug, along with its intricate border and modernistic use of empty space to highlight the central medallion make the carpet one that will meld seamlessly with many different kinds of décor.
