The square-bodied, nested figures, one neatly positioned within the other, focus visual attention. The gold-accented medallion in this prayer rug creates a space like a private place of worship, filled with bright red, pale green and steely blue shades. Angular orange vines wrap around the chapel, forming matching borders set against black, green and red. Small but colorful round flowers decorate the bright stems, echoing the diminutive adornments within to provide unity within the classically styled antique rug.
