Vintage Indian Tabriz Rug, Country of Origin: Indian, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century– A field of autumn-hued leaves and flowers fills the middle zone of this rectangular, cream Indian rug. This Tabriz’s center features a circular flower that stands apart from the intricately interlinked pattern all around it. Two flanking lotus blossoms lead to four orange leaves with ruffled edges like flames. These are surrounded by sweeping and curling fronds and blooms in warm tones with touches of blue for a lovely contrast on this rug. Outside this perfectly contained decoration, two matching bands filled with simplistic leaves edge a wider border, which contains a curving and dipping pattern of leaves that is punctuated with orange and blue floral figures.
