A Beautiful Soft And Faded Decorative Antique Turkish Oushak Rug, Country of Origin: Turkish, Circa Date: 1920 – The sun-kissed, antique Turkish rug is as pale as papyrus and darkened by time around the sides. A detailed floral pattern created by precise stitches in gentle red and the lightest green fills the central field, their hues soft against the dark ivory. The delicate Oushak rug design unfolds from the center to reveal hints of stems sprouting numerous leaves and petals. Straight red lines form a set of borders that encloses the middle, each decorated with intricate figures. The narrowest borders in this antique rug feature simple, four-petaled white flowers punctuated with carmine accents. Looping vines with slim, long arrays of fronds and red blossoms move through the widest band.
