Stylized flowers on white stems fill the negative spaces within that pattern, filled with white, red and dark blue. Several larger red shapes like petals or the fronds of a fern peek over the edge of the light blue area. Two slim borders in contrasting white and navy, filled with interlocking flowery designs, lead to a wider red band. Flowers ring the central field of this antique Persian rug, each locked within its own ornate shape.
