Antique Sultanabad Carpet, Origin: Persia, Circa 1920 – The delightful display of colors and floral shapes in this Sultanabad rug create an almost living, breathing universe for the viewer to explore. Several rich borders stand against each other, their bright colors designed to complement and contrast in a series of sandwiching patterns that allow the presence of the flowers within to truly shine through. At the very center of the area rug is a milky white background, its elegant atmosphere housing a symmetrical series of brightly colored flowers and ferns that all wind and connect with each other through their shared leaves and vines.
