A Remarkable And Colorful Geometric Design Vintage Scandinavian Swedish Kilim Area Rug, Country of Origin: Sweden, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – Simple, blocked shapes set the tone throughout this attractive kilim, keeping with the elegantly understated style that Swedish rugs are so famous for. A rose red border surrounds the vintage area rug, drawing attention to the crisp, light-gray background and the flow of shapes within. At the center of the piece is a column of red diamonds, all connected with each other by their azure tops and bottoms. Black arms extend to the left and right of the diamonds, leading the viewer’s eyes to a collection of buttermilk and eggshell squares, themselves made more stark by L-shaped frames of red.
