The tropical assortment of colors forms vivid flowery figures against a navy blue background. Each blossom in this tribal antique runner rug is ornate, the complex figures repeating along the length of the antique rug. Each is stitched in full bloom, forms reaching across the narrow central field to brush the border. The flowers are limned with contrasting line-work, red and yellow forming delicate highlights against the darkness. A white border decorated with stylized Y shapes like dowsing rods captures the main pattern, leading to a band nearly as wide that carries a repeating red and blue design around the antique Persian rug, two halves that interlock with precision. The light blue-gray around the outside shifts midway to a darker tone, which matches the interior.
