Beautiful Vintage Scandinavian Danish Piet Mondrian Art Rug, Country of Origin: Denmark, Circa Date: Mid-Twentieth Century – The works of the iconic artist Piet Mondrian are unmistakable with their clean lines, formal structure, and use the primary colors. Mondrian was a Dutch painter, who reduced his artistic theory to the use of simple, geometry and boldly contrasting colors. This modern art rug was produced in the mid 20th century by a Scandinavian rug manufacturer and is of superb quality.

This vintage mid century rug uses angular field divisions based on the square and rectangle forms. It centers on the use of primary colors separated by uniform, black lines, giving the piece a streamlined and modern character. Each one of the colors occupies its own space. The colors of this magnificent Piet Mondrian art rug are laid down in a way that is uniform and un-shaded.
