A Breathtaking Tribal Design Vintage Moroccan Runner Rug, Origin: Morocco, Circa: Mid-20th Century – The playful character and colorful designs of the rugs of the Berber tribes of Morocco have inspired designers for decades. The designs of their vintage rugs tell the stories of the people through their designs and colors. The artistic characteristic of the Moroccan rugs has a spontaneous, organic quality that seems to evolve naturally along its length. Mid-century designers first became entranced by these gorgeous pieces and included them in styles from Danish Modern design to Eames era. Now, we love them just as much in our contemporary spaces, too.

This kilim rug has a unique color combination that includes earthy browns and primary red, white, and blue. This interesting color combination makes it the prefect way to introduce a color pop into a neutral room, but in a way that is subtle and surprising. Designers of the mid-20th century used vintage and even modern Moroccan rugs to tie contrasting elements of the room together. This magnificent runner rug can do the same in our modern spaces.
