Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
Hurricane Sandy brought devastation to New York City communities when it touched down in November. Today, the families, businesses and individuals affected by the storm are still recovering.
To support the city that we have called home since 1980, Nazmiyal has teamed up with online auction house Charity Buzz to offer one of our mid-century Moroccan rugs. All proceeds from the auction go to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City hurricane relief efforts.
Bidding has begun for this beautiful Moroccan rug. Featuring a formal medallion surrounded by colorful pegs, poly-chromatic stripes and decorative checkers, this rug is a lovely collectors piece that balances traditional style with modern design.
All items in the Charity Buzz online auction are inspired by the Hearst Designer Visions showcase. This Moroccan rug was chosen for its similarities to the vintage rugs from Nazmiyal featured in the showroom designed by David Rockwell.
“We have done a lot of work with designers involved in Designer Visions and it has always been successful,” says Nazmiyal Collection’s Jason Nazmiyal.”To take it one step further and bridge the event with a good cause is a no-brainer for us. We are thrilled to contribute to the showcase and to the charity.”
The auction runs until February 26th and all proceeds go directly to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City. Bid now on this exquisite Moroccan rug, or view our entire collection. Shop today and take 30% off!
