Stylized lotuses in muted tones adorn each corner with rosettes, vine scrolls and leaves interspersed between the larger flowers. A border guard along the edge of the carpet displays bear-like figures outlined in cerulean blue and cocoa alternating with rosettes and finely worked vine scrolls. The inner border guard uses a light cream background as contrast between the main border and field with a continuous array whimsical rectilinear figures. The orange edges balance the color composition.
