Antique Persian Jajim Kilim 47157
Antique Jajim Kilim, Persia, Circa 1920 — Like so many other kilims, this rug makes use of a relatively simple pattern to allow the colors and lines to speak for themselves, which results in an elegant and rhythmic display. In this vibrant piece, a single, rich red background is used to define the rest of the figures and shapes. Evenly spaced lines break up the single solid shade throughout, their presence divided even further through the dichotomy of blue and white. The silvery azure hues stand the closest against the red background, while the middle of each stripe contains a series of white dots in vertical movement.
