The monochromatic camel light brown or taupe colored field creates a soft background that highlights the stark fretwork motifs and bold crimson medallion. Wide crimson inner borders decorated with elegant rosettes offset the neutral background featured in the field while complementing the ornate main borders, which feature an endless maze of pinyin-wan motifs rendered in a clear hue of ultramarine blue.
