Holiday Decor & Modern Fireplaces - With the Christmas season in full swing, the time has come where one can’t walk down the streets of New York City without being fully accosted by the smell of pine needles from Christmas tree vendors on what seems to be every corner. The yuletide is here and holiday trimmings are in order. One of my favorite areas of Christmas decor is undoubtedly the fireplace. Through their heated design, holiday decor is hotter than ever to welcome Santa through some serious styling.

The fireplace, not only a portal for the jolly old man toting presents in a Narnia-esque sack of goodies that never ends, but is a place for family gathering to share the holiday spirit, drink a delish boozey spirit, and bask in the warmth on a cold winter’s night. Adorning this festive centerpiece has become an important staple in designing one’s home for the holiday. Garland, lights, stockings, pine cones are traditional pieces that bring the season into light. Themed decor, though, is making some serious splash for this season. Whether, one is rocking around the Christmas tree fully clad an a monochromatic color scheme or adding pizzazz with an arctic circle-esque inspiration that would draw all the penguins from North Pole, the fireplace and its decor have proven to be classic staples for decadent holiday design.

Hanukkah, with its annual changing dates, is set to fall towards the tail-end of the December month smack dab in the Christmas debacle and pre-New Year’s celebrations galore. With yet another holiday to look to, one must be readily clad to don another table setting full of tradition, menorah lighting, and eight days of holiday festivities.

This Hanukkah season, decking the table with a beautiful color palette of blue, silver, and white fills our Jewish celebrators with a spread of holiday cheer. Teal and white throw in a mix of popping colors accented with silver trimmings leaves homes not only full of candlelight but chic and stylish design. Tradition at its finest for this festive gathering illuminates crisp and clean decor with intermixing of modern approaches in terms of center pieces and accent pieces.

The centerpiece for such table designs comes as no surprise to center around a beautiful classic or modern menorah with dripping tapered candles. Fresh cut lillies immersed in water add a sense of modern spice to the table and adding modern star ornamental statement pieces brings the table into full chic status. Holiday Party Planning , Winter Wonderland Table Setting Ideas - Now, that we have cleared our plates of turkey dinners fully equipped with an arsenal of side dishes ranging from starchy potatoes, sage-filled stuffing, and creamy casseroles, the time has come to start planning for the December festivities. Christmas, the day of presents, families, a jolly man with a beard in a red suit fully clad with white fur and a belt buckle will soon be visiting the homes of holiday party planners. What better way to start of the Christmas season than by donning your bells and whistles by decking out your table spread before the cookies and milk are set out.

Table decor for Christmas is easily one of the prime staples for the festive holiday season. We previously posted on styling the table with Turkey Day design, but now it is time to hide the cornucopia, axe the leaves and corn, and place your little pilgrim figurines back in the curio. Christmas rings in a new season of style and design with dashes of holly, pine trees galore, and enough glittery accents that will sparkle well into the winter month.

Silver metallic branches or antlers really spice up your holiday design and add a touch of nostalgia to your modern approach.
