Today's interior designer spotlight highlights one of the most influential and premiere American designers, Ellie Cullman of Cullman & Kravis. Ellie has influenced American interior design for the past 25 years having been listed as a part of Architectural Digest 100 every year since 2000. In 2009, she was awarded the Stars of Design award at the D&D building in NYC. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Cullman is a prime exemplar of New York's finest who has risen to the top of the design world.
Ellie Cullman comes from an art background where she studied Asian Studies at Columbia and worked as a curator for the Museum of American Folk Art before starting Cullman and Kravis. Cullman has also served on the boards of the MoMA, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, and was a board member of the Brooklyn Museum from 1998 to 2009. Her heavy arts background has made her quite the expert in incorporating antiques and decor into her designs. Ellie Cullman's designs are both beautiful and breathtaking that add a sense of value for the spaces she works with, through rich design and prestige.
The interiors designed by Ellie exhibit a fine tradition of American styling with beautiful attention to valued decor.
