Antique Mamluk Design Rug By Tuduc, Origin: Turkey, Circa: Early 20th Century - Highly prized antique and early Mamluk rugs were the inspiration for this unique 'Tuduc / Tadouk' rug. Theodor Tuduc (1888-1983) was a well known weaver of reproductions who copied many of the great classic designs. Mamluk rugs were woven from the 15th century on wards and are now rare, hard to find and generally only in museums. This could possibly be one of the reproductions from the Tuduc atelier and a beautiful example at that.
