The shapes are decorated with small crosses and square designs, alternating red with white. A faint blue background cradles the medallions with their squared edges on the Shirvan, allowing them to float as if against a winter sky. Many small, eight-pointed stars are stitched alongside, increasing the visual effect of the snow. A set of narrow borders encloses the central area, each stark with bright red and white, touched with bare hints of green and blue on the antique rug.
