Tiny flowers and fruits woven in a combination of burnt sienna, ivory and oxidized blue are offset by the obscure midnight blue background. Pictorial scenes featuring leopards, horses and exotic animals border the lower part of the field while serpentine cloudbands, stylized animals and detailed palmettes decorate the oxidized blue mihrab. Ornate guard bands featuring Persian floral motifs complement the elegant composition.
