Vintage Scandinavian Double Sided Rug, Origin: Scandinavia – Wonderfully styled and executed, this double-sided  mid-century vintage rug features a minimalist blue-tone design rendered in reversed colorways that are modern and inherently understated. This extraordinary hand-woven carpet displays a classical Scandinavian composition that uses carefully selected colors and a limited number of motifs to create a well-balanced design. On the obverse side, a wide band of harlequin diamonds encircles an understated field of light-value stripes that extend through the distinctive borders. The opposite side displays a reversed harlequin pattern surrounding a dark oceanic field. Familiar azure stripes from the obverse side are used to expertly recolor the border motifs and create a charming pattern variation.
