Perpedil Rugs
Collection of Caucasian Carpets

Perepedil is a town located southeast of Kuba, in the Daghestan region of the Caucasus. Antique Perepedil rugs are the most distinctive of all Caucasian rugs, featuring the distinguished, stylized ram horn motif. The ram horn motif is alternated with other bar medallions and serrated diamonds and the centerfield featuring rows of stylized flowers, humans and animals. Smaller rugs are also produced in the region with a stylized version of the Herati pattern on the field.
