Kazvin/Gazvin Rugs
Collection of Persian Carpets

Antique Kazvin/Gazvin rugs: were produced 90 miles west of Tehran up until the 1930s. These rugs often feature curvilinear patterns, with crimson and blue predominating the background and featuring a lovely ivory contrast. The rugs are often mid-sized and measure 4x6ft to 8x10ft. Kazvin rugs use both Persian and Turkish knots and use soft wool in thin, tight piles.
