Antique Tabriz Rug, Persia, circa 1910 - This exceptional carpet features several exquisite shades of Persian blue ranging from the elegant, saturated hues in the field to the delicately-colored tones in the border. The borders incorporate traditional Tabriz elements with softly-colored Persian guardbands, expressive cloudbands woven in pale blue and an inscribed cartouche decorated with Kufic calligraphy.
