The design structured about a central vertical column or candelabra that stands out amidst a larger viney network or trellis, with smaller vine sprays filling the remaining ground area. In the main border a more finely scaled staggered vinescroll design is set against an apricot ground for contrast to the monumentality of the field, while additional minor borders of diminutive vinescrolls reinforce the framing function of the main one.
