Antique Khotan Oriental Rug #44541
Sold
A rug so beautiful that not even the pilgrim bard Xuanzang could give words to describe it. With a gradient background of blues ranging from cerulean to periwinkle, this unspeakably gorgeous rug is worthy of nothing less than a palace hall. Tibetan Buddhist characters enclose the gradient, stained with a deep Henna-colored ink. Complex Mongolian designs are tangled in an ocean of light blues, burning with a bright pink color amongst the muted tones. Curling strings of archetypical Central Asian style form the perimeter of the rug amongst a marbled swirl of periwinkle and faded salmon pink.
