A series of small medallions and angular paisley forms in red, blue, green, and sandy gold floats across the rich chocolate ground, undoubtedly made from natural, undyed wool. Their spacing is irregular and free, imparting excitement to the design alongside the bold color effects. A variant of the so-called 'dragon' border provides a lively finish with its alternating colors against a rich red ground. A masterpiece of authentic village weaving.
