Antique Malayer Persian Rugs 43059

Malayer Rug, Persia, Circa 1900 - Woven over a dark brown field, this traditional piece features exemplary use of highly-desirable oxidized blues and greens. The central field is decorated with a series of prominent Yildiz star medallions and ram's horn motifs reminiscent of the elibelinde. Persian guardbands and central borders decorated with continuous star patterns complement the blue-green motifs used within the field.
