The ground area between the two central zig-zags shifts to light cocoa, creating a strong central emphasis that is balanced by the blue zig-zags and triangles at either side. A chocolate edge stripe provides the hint of a border. Though apparently simple in design, there is a remarkable thoughtfulness to this piece that only emerges with extended contemplation.
