Amritsar, India, Early 20th Century - Champagne and cinnamon tones prevail against the soft cocoa ground on this sumptuous but delicate antique Amritsar. A diaphanous star medallion counterbalances open sprays of palmettes and vines that all allow the beauty of the ground color to show through. More of these graceful palmette vines comprise the border, but on a cinnamon ground that nicely complements the cocoa of the field.
